Emma is a music journalist whose words have been featured in local publications Moxie Magazine PGH, Pittsburgh Current, and Steel City Death Club. She also self-publishes on Medium and Substack.
She received her Master’s in Musicology from the University of Edinburgh in November 2023. Her coursework and dissertation research provided invaluable training which she now uses to bring her vigorous research skills to her writing about popular music.
In addition to writing albums reviews, conducting interviews, and developing long-form think-pieces, her use of popular music studies methods and other musicological tools brings academic thought outside of the university setting and allows it to uplift important cultural conversations about the music we consume everyday.
